GreenCarrier at the Retail Trade’s Logistics Day

Transport and Logistics are always a key challenge for the retail trade. At this year’s Retail Trade’s Logistics Day (Detaljhandelns Logistikdag) retailers as well as logistics companies were represented to talk about how transport and logistics strategies are developing for the fashion and general dealer sector.

GreenCarrier, one of the sponsors of the day, see positive growth in retail, clothing and beverages and will continue to be committed to these areas in 2009. The conference was a way in which the retail trade’s transport buyers could get information about the latest transport solutions offered by top forwarders such as GreenCarrier. One trend is for logistics companies to begin to develop spin-off services such as packaging, labeling, and order-handling. GreenCarrier offers these services in Sweden as well as in other countries (for example China).

A growing number of niche forwarders and global providers are now entering into the Nordic logistics market, and the opportunity for retailers to find the right logistics partner is greater than ever. With this in mind many retailers are changing their logistics systems and organisation: At the conference several case studies were presented.

GreenCarrier’s Görel Bergqvist and Peder Öhman were there to answer the visitors’ questions about logistics issues.
“Over the last couple of years we have sharpened our products within Retail, Clothing and Beverages”, said Görel Bergqvist.

GreenCarrier’s business idea to provide one single point of contact, a dedicated contact person for all your transport needs, received very positive feedback from the visitors.
